Huge Upsets Mess Up BCS Picture

Â
What a day in college football. The BCS picture is all messed up as heavyweights continue to fall. Thursday Night Rutgers upset #3 Louisville. Today, Kansas State knocked off #4 Texas (ha ha, Texas you suck), #5 Auburn fell to Georgia, and #8 Cal fell to Arizona. #1 Ohio State and #2 Michigan face off next week.
Where does this leave the BCS? In freakin limbo, that’s where. Here’s to hoping that Rutgers runs the table and somehow plays for a National Championship. That would be a laugh. This will probably not happen thanks to Florida. The Gators barely knocked off South Carolina today and only have Western Carolina (a W) and Florida State (got waxed by Wake Forest today) left on their schedule.
Mark it down. The winner of the Ohio State vs. Michigan game will play Florida for the National Championship. I guess the BCS isn’t in such a mess after all.

Look out for Arkansas. Florida must play Arkansas in SEC Championship. If Ark. wins, who knows what will happen. It could put the Notre Dame/USC winner in the title game. Or, Arkansas could leap frog and play for the title themselves. Not to mention, the OhioSt/Michigan loser could wind up back in it.
I’ve hated the BCS from Day One. I knew they hadn’t fixed anything.
Good point Mac, I had totally forgotten about the SEC championship game.
In that case, I’ll be pulling for Arkansas.
Arkansas looked really good last night. They have a shot against Florida if they play. Florida wasn’t impressive yesterday and got lucky with 3 blocked kicks. I really hope there is not an Ohio St/Michigan rematch for the national championship.
I am hoping for a Georgia Tech vs Wake Forest ACC championship game. Go Jackets!
Well, I guess like Mac said, I sorta forgot USC and Notre Dame. If USC were to run the table, (Cal, Notre Dame, UCLA), I’d say they have a great shot to pass Florida. Of course, same goes with Notre Dame ( Army,USC), but obviously one of these teams is going to cancel the other out.
I’m just gonna be curious where yesterdays events leave Rutgers?
I mean, they were 15th. The 3rd, 4th, 5th, 8th, and 13th ranked teams lost. So technically, shouldn’t Rutgers check in AT LEAST 5 places better at 10th? Then, come on, they knocked off the #3 team (on paper) in the nation, you gotta give them a couple spots for that right? Say possibly leapfrog Boise State and maybe LSU?
That would get them to 8th.
Would it be possible for them to work their way into the top 5, and hope for teams like Arkansas to lose? Now that I look at it, if Arkansas runs the table, they have an outstanding shot as well.
[…] 3. Florida 38 Arkansas 28- I finally got one right. I was right about Casey Dick not being able to get much going vs. the Florida defense, I was right about an awakening Florida offense. Finally, all I gotta say is this. You heard it hear FIRST, on November 12th! […]
