I don’t have a whole lot to add to todays NFL Championship games. I’ll have more spin on things tomorrow, I just wanted to get a quick results post in.
The Bears took advantage of 4 Saints turnovers to route the New Orleans Saints, 39-14. Glad I didn’t stick with the Saints, they just didn’t have it this afternoon as the unthinkable has happened….Rex Grossman has led the Bears to the Super Bowl, well, not really. Rex only completed 11 passes, as the Bears defense, run game, and weather dominated the Saints.
Well, America asked for it, and now you have received it. Peyton Manning and the Colts are heading the the Super Bowl after a 38-34 victory over Tom Brady and the Patriots. Honestly, I have to give it up for Manning, the guy was all balls in the 2nd half, leading the Colts back from a 21-6 deficit, and 32 2nd half points. I still think the Colts got a slight gift on that last drive with the roughing the passer call that put them on the 11 yard line. Only one very quick replay was showed, I have to figure that’s because of the intense man crush that the league and media has for Manning. They didn’t want to taint his victory in any way. Looked to me like a D-lineman sorta fell down and grazed Manning’s facemask with with his hand, but again, I only saw one replay. I hope you are prepared for 2 straight weeks of Manning lovefest.

I will take a Manning lovefest over a Brady lovefest.
I do think the penalty was a soft one, but it was the correct call. The call was a blow to the head, and pretty much all year they have called it rather it was a tap or slap.
Yeah, I know it was a blow to the head call, and yeah, compared to some things I’ve seen them call, it wasn’t all that bad of a call. I really think they need to re-evaluate some of the rules they are emphasizing as far as protecting the QB-
Also, it seems like I am one of the few that is disappointed that the Colts have made the Super Bowl.
Thanks for the comments!
I don’t really like the Colts but they were a lesser of two evils for me.
I really do not like to watch the Bears play, so I hate that I am going to watch them play again this year.
