NBA Action, Fantastic
A really great night in the NBA tonight-
Phoenix notched their 2nd 15 game win streak of the year with a 112-107 win over the Knicks.Â
Miami got Shaq back, but still lost in OT to the revamped Pacers, 96-94. Shaq only played 14 minutes and scored just 5 points on 2 of 6 shooting. Hey, he still outscored Gary Payton! The Pacers were lead by *cough* Troy Murphy’s 17 points and 12 boards.
Philadelphia moved to 8-12 without the “answer” after beating Cleveland 118-115 in double OT. Philly put 6 guys in double figures including Rodney Carney with 18….WHO!?
Don’t look now, but Houston is hanging around in the West, despite the injury to Yao Ming. Tonight Houston toppled West power San Antonio 90-85, thanks to 37 points from T-Mac. Tim Duncan was a beast in a losing effort with 37 points and 10 boards.
Paul Gasol wants to be traded and he really showed his value tonight. Gasol put up 17 points, 13 boards, 12 assists and 2 blocks as Memphis upset Utah, 132-130 in OT.  This game was fantasy heaven as several players had monster nights: Chucky Atkins 29 points, 15 assists, 6-10 3 pointers; Carlos Boozer 39 points and 15 rebounds (on 18-24 shooting!); Mehmet Okur 27 points, 11 boards, 2 blocks, 5-7 from three; Deron Williams 7 points, 21 assists; and even Andre Kirilenko got on track with 18 points, 12 boards and 3 blocks. This had to be a fun game to watch.
Sacramento got 36 points from Ron Artest to offset 36 points from Earl Boykins, to beat the Bucks, 114-106.
