Well, It’s Over The Colts Are Super Bowl Champs
I know everyone is going to call sour grapes on me, but that was one of the least magnificent Super Bowls I’ve ever watched. Sure, it had a few big plays, but it just seemed like the Colts didn’t really have to do a whole hell of a lot to get the 29-17 win. It just seemed to me that the Colts dinked and dumped there way to a Super Bowl Championship against an offense (or maybe a QB) that didn’t have a chance of moving the ball.
Peyton Manning was named MVP for his brilliant 1 TD, 1 INT, 247 yard performance. Honestly, I think it’d be hard to pick one guy as MVP of this game, maybe Dominic Rhodes, (113 rush yards, 1 TD) or maybe even the Colts defense.
Lets be real, the Bears never had a chance to win this football game with Rex Grossman at the helm. This is something we’ve all known for most of the season, but we tried to ignore it once they Bears made the big dance in spite of him. Yeah, his 3 turnovers were bad, but it was more his lack of being able to make plays that turned the game.
So, now that the game is over, we give our high 5’s to the following:
Devin Hester opening the game with a 92 yard kickoff return for TD
Adam Vinatieri missing a chip shot field goal
Prince
Being told that Tony Dungy has gone his entire NFL career without saying a curse word
And our Down Lows
Rex Grossman
Colts not kicking a FG late in 4th quarter: Cost JC 50 bucks, as her square woulda been landed on in our squares competition
There ya go, prepare for an entire off-season (and probably the rest of your life) where you get to hear that Peyton Manning has now validated his career and his life in general.

The Bears were running the ball good with Jones. So I guess when you are down 5 you have a crappy QB try to win a game. What do you get? a pick six that basically ends the game. I have no idea why the Bears didn’t run the ball more the 2nd half.
Never ever put the game in Rex Grossman’s hands.
Also Prince has like 100 songs, why cover “Proud Mary” and a Foo Fighters song?
It was a disappointing game all the way around, and I was pulling for the Colts.
That was the worst Super Bowl I have ever watched!!! I thought it was supposed to be two teams at there best, instead we get two teams that looked like they just started training camp. I will always remember this game as the “exhibition super bowl”.
And I agree with Jeff why did Prince cover CCR we just seen John Fogerty at the Thanksgiving games.
Agree with everything you both said, although I admit, I didn’t notice what Prince sang…I just liked his bandana thing.
Grossman didnt deserve to be there. To bad for the rest of the team.
