F-Da Eagles Girl Update
Surely you remember the F**K DA EAGLES Girl. Well, seems that wearing a shirt with the F-word on it on national TV gets you a photo spread these days (I’m gonna have to try that). Anyway, there are lots of photos and even a video. She explains that she was drunk at the game and also noted:
“before the game I was drinking Red Bull and vodka and pouring Pop Rocks into my mouth, letting it foam out.”
So, now we finally know her name: Heather Rothstein. She also goes on to explain that her and 7 or 8 others simply walked into the stadium with the T-shirts on:
“I just walked right in. I mean, it’s New Orleans. I was with seven or eight people that had the same shirt on. You can buy shirts downtown that say, “I got shit-faced on Bourbon Street.” It’s just part of New Orleans. Nobody thinks anything of stuff like that.”
Also, Maxim got a Super Bowl pick out of Heather:
I’m going to have to go with the Colts. I had a really crappy experience in Chicago. People threw eggs, donuts, beer and snowballs at us. And they were cowards about it. They would throw something at us, and then we’d turn around and nobody would be there. I mean, if you have the balls to throw an egg at me you better have the balls for me to kick your ass.
I can’t say that that’s surprising. Anyway, stay tuned, maybe we can have F Da Eagles Girl vs. Bears Ebay Girl!

1 commentMcNabb And Owens Sound Off
If you haven’t heard, it appears Donovan McNabb has been a bit upset with the Eagles since his knee surgery. According to ESPN he has 3 gripes, one of which I agree with. Apparently, McNabb wanted to travel with the team during the playoffs, but he wasn’t allowed to because of a team rule. I agree with McNabb on this one, I think you make exceptions to all rules from time to time. This is a time where I would have made an exception if the guy wants to be with the team.
The other two gripes are just McNabb at his McVery best. According to sources that are “close to McNabb” (ummm, ok) he gets the feeling that many of his teammates prefer Jeff Garcia over him. Quite honestly, it doesn’t surprise me that this might actually be happening or that McNabb would be upset by it. I’ve been urging people to read Terrell Owens’s book T.O. for several months now just to get an idea of what kind of a heel McNabb is. Owens made it pretty clear that McNabb HAD TO BE the face of the Eagles. This latest report only validates Owens theory.
McNabb is also upset at how his mother is being portrayed by the media and by Eagles fans for comments she wrote in her blog: Evidently she said something to the effect of: watching the Eagles win without Donovan was “bittersweet”. Hey, Donovan, I totally understand you being upset at how someone in your family is being portrayed…but guess what? Your mom opens herself up to public scrutiny by
A. Appearing in commercials.
B. Having a blog where she discusses the Eagles. Yeah, I’ve got a blog myself, and I am open to public scrutiny as well. However, my opinion or commentary isn’t really all that important to anyone, as I am not related to any NFL stars.
So what happens in Philly? Not much, if they let McNabb go, they are insane. Jeff Garcia had a nice run, but he isn’t the future, past, or present of this team. They need to bring BOTH guys back, with McNabb being the starter, Garcia waiting in the wings.
McNabb isn’t the only person sounding off recently. Terrell Owens fired some jabs at departing Bill Parcells, comparing him to his grandmother:
“I am just hoping his retirement brings promise to what the team has to offer,†Owens said. “This past year was a big letdown. On paper we were as good as anybody we played against every week. The end result didn’t show that. Our play was not indicative of what we could have done. What we should have done. Hopefully, the owner will hire a coach to take the team to the next level.â€
I’m no longer going to attempt to defend Owens. I think he is seriously blaming 2006 on Bill Parcells. Well, he might be right. Having known a couple of alchoholics in my life, Bill Parcells was what is called an “enabler” for Owens. Parcells, in his old age, allowed Owens to pretty much have his run with things, and it led to a pretty weird season. Just think, if Owens catches the easy TD vs. Washington, Dallas is seeded higher….honestly, I believe Dallas lost a couple games thanks to T.O.’s lack of catching ability. Not that I’ve ever pointed a finger at the guy, but if you are going to point fingers at coach…well, look in the mirror T.O. I can’t believe Owens thinks that coaching was part of the problem. If you are keeping score that’s Terrell Owens 1, Dallas Cowboys 0.
1 commentSaints Steal Rocky Theme
I came across this video thanks to Deadspin. Watch the entire thing and you’ll see the frizzy haired guy running up to Eagles fans and openly taunting them. If the Hurricanes are able to make the playoffs this year, I’ll be doing this at the RBC Center.

No commentsAFA Action Alert!!
Remember this girl?

Well, it appears she has drawn the scrutiny of this guy:
Well, the AFA (American Family Association) has sprung into action over this incident and is urging folks to send complaints to the FCC. I get where they are coming from, it’s offensive to air the ‘F’ word on television. However, I don’t understand what their goal might be in actually perpetuating the experience. An actual link to a photo of the offense is included on the FAA website, and they go on to describe what the shirt said….with dashes of course. To be sure this was the 1st time many children ever saw the 4 letter ‘F’ word, as it certainly isn’t used in television, movies, schools, songs, parents and the such.
I would also like to send out a call to figure out just who the F–K Da Eagles girl is.
No comments3 Outta 4 Ain’t Bad

I felt pretty good in picking 3 out of 4 NFL winners this weekend and only narrowly missed a Seahawks win as well. Peyton Manning didn’t deliver the 3 TD’s I predicted, but the Colts were able to out field goal the Ravens Saturday 15-6. Seriously, has their ever been a kicker that’s more deserving of a roster space than Adam Vinatieri? How ironic would it be if this was the year the Colts make the Super Bowl…the year of a new run game, and an extremely porous defense….well, at least it used to be porous. The Colts D came away with 4 Turnovers Sunday and held the Ravens run oriented offense to just 83 rush yards. To think, just a few weeks ago, Ron Dayne had everyone predicting the Colts would be one and done.

The late game on Saturday produced a lot more offensive fireworks as the Saints held off the Eagles, 27-24. My game ball in this one has to go to Deuce McAllister. Duece has been all class, all year as he watched his role become somewhat diminished with the arrival of phenom Reggie Bush. The guy was total blood and guts on Saturday as he ran for 143 yards and a TD, and caught 4 passes for 20 yards and another touchdown. Not to mention, it was McAllister who iced the game with his tough running late in the 4th quarter. Congrats to the Eagles on one heck of a season, they overcame some serious adversity this season…however, for anyone that wasn’t able to watch the game, this girl was able to make it on to live television for about 8 seconds:
So, with 2 wins already in hand, I felt pretty confident rolling into Sunday….well, not really, I picked both road teams to win on Sunday. Seattle really should have beaten the Bears. Instead, they lost 27-24 in overtime. They had chance after chance at or past midfield and just couldn’t make that one play to get them over the hump. I gotta put the loss on Matt Hasselbeck and his bobbled snap on a 4th and 1 play late in the 4th quarter. Interestingly enough, the one game I missed on the weekend, was the one I cared least about, so lets move on.

Never count out the Patriots in the playoffs….never, ever, ever do it. That’s why I picked them to win vs. the favored Chargers. The Patriots rally from a 21-13 4th quarter deficit included a Tom Brady TD pass, a tricky 2 point conversion, and a field goal by a guy named Stephen Gostowski, and ended in a 24-21 win over a team that many felt was the class of the NFL. Another funny thing about my prediction was the last line I typed…“You stay classy San Diego”. Honestly, I had no idea much of the post-game talk would involve class.
LT, man, I love you to death, you are a classy guy, but give me a break. I can understand him being upset at the way the Patriots celebrated but I don’t understand him saying it was the whole Merriman thing that pissed him off. I mean, lets be honest…Merriman did his “sack dance” after each of this NFL leading 17 sacks….was he acting like he had been there before? Was he showing class? Did Tomlinson rush onto the field and stop Merriman from taunting opposing teams? As for Tomlinson taking a stab at Belichick, I don’t know….maybe he knows something we don’t. Like I mentioned before, Belichick doesn’t emit niceness. Long story short….Wanna run out on the field and bust up a group of guys that are celebrating on your logo? Fine by me. Wanna blame the behavior on the coach? Again, ok in my book. Wanna say you were defending the honor of someone taunting someone else’s taunt? Nah, that doesn’t work.
Stay tuned for picks for this weekends Conference Championship games.
4 commentsT.O. Won’t Send A Get Well Card To McNabb
ESPN.com is reporting that Terrell Owens said “absolutely not” when asked if he would send a get well text message to now injured Donovan McNabb. I give this until the end of the day for some ESPN homer to take it and run with it, and accuse Owens of being something. What the something will be….I don’t know yet, but it’ll be something negative.
In regard to Owens, I would ask people this: First, why would a reporter even ask a question like that to an athlete? Because they want a story, they figure Owens will pop off and say something pressworthy. Second, why would Owens send him a “get well” wish? The two don’t speak, it’s well known that they don’t have a relationship anymore. I’m not sending McNabb a get well card either, and I don’t like him, but that doesn’t mean I would wish injury on the guy. Was Owens asked if he would be sending a get well card to LaMont Jordan as well? ESPN is to sports what MTV is to Music. A joke. Unfortunately, in the case of sports, ESPN is a necessary evil.
1 commentPhiladelphia Fans
I’m not sure what it is, but today I’m lashing out at opposing fans. After watching the Sabre fans in action, I started to recall the moronic behavior of many Eagles fans. All you have to do is cruise around YouTube to find Eagles fans showing their hypocrisy. Hey Eagles fans! Donovan McNabb cost you a Super Bowl……not T.O.!!
In all seriousness, this is one of the reasons Eagles fans haven’t been rewarded with a Super Bowl. Karma baby, karma. I do have a kind of respect for Philly fans. They seem to be some of the most knowledgeable fans around, and there is no denying the support they provide when they are doing well. Anyway, check out some of these videos and articles to get a true taste of “Philly Fan”.
Real Men of Genius
OD Chant For Owens (Even though he didn’t “OD”)
Burning Owens Jersey (profanity warning and yes, Eagles fans have discovered fire)
Flyers fan in penalty box (ok, this one wasn’t really totally the fans fault)
A nice article on Eagles fans cheering when Michael Irvin got hurt. (Sorry, I couldn’t find video on this)
“There’s no excuse for what we did”
Last, but not least, an article defending Philly fans.
