Top 10 Stories Of The Past Week

As you’ve probably noticed, I’ve had to take a few days off from posting. I’ve had pretty good reason, a lot has been going on. In the past week I’ve proposed to my girlfriend (she said yes) and got a new dog (in the photo). So, between teaching the dog to poop, spending some much needed quality time with my fiance, and living life as well, I haven’t had any time to update the site. Anyway, I thought I’d put together one big post of the stories that I’ve been watching and talking about with my friends. I’m going to try to be candid with every story, you probably know the particulars and the statistics of most of them, but perhaps you have a different opinion than me. Also, as usual, some of these stories are more local, and interesting to me. So, check out the top 10 list, and if you’ve got a story of your own, let me know….. Read more
4 commentsHoliday Weekend
Sorry for the lack of content over this weekend. Been out of town a lot finding it impossible to post. I know lots of news is happening…..hopefully, we’ll be up and running tonight.
Also, wanted everyone to know that the NFL has come down on us for including short highlight segments in our week12 picks videos, thus they have been removed. A new, edited version will be up soon, as well as our official response to the NFL.
No commentsSheffield Traded To Tigers
Â
Yanks trade Sheffield to the Tigers for 3 pitching prospects.Â
Gabs Take: Good for the Yankees, they got rid of what’s going to soon be some dead weight. Sheff isn’t getting any younger, and became expendable when the Yankees obtained Bobby Abreu. Also, they got their biggest need in exchange; pitching. As for the Tigers, thumbs up if you get 100 games out of this guy next year.
I like Sheffield, but it’s funny that the Yankees never got a World Series with him.
1 commentRutgers Topples Louisville
Â
Rutgers, led by Ray Rice, officially ended the Louisville National Championship talk with a 28-25 win tonight. Yes, I called this game for Louisville.Â
No commentsNFL Week 10 Fantasy- Kansas City @ Miami

Each week as the NFL games approach I’ll do a complete rundown of every game, from a “pick em” perspective and a fantasy perspective. I will include the current lines for each game as well, however, I am not encouraging anyone to gamble. Lines are always an important factor when it comes to picking winners. I’ll keep a running tab of my winning percentage as well as a fantasy “hits and misses” section after each week. Again, view these picks at your own risk, if you bet on these picks or set your fantasy roster based on these picks that is entirely up to you.
First up is Kansas City @ Miami
1 commentNiners Leaving San Francisco?
ESPN is reporting that the 49ers may be on their way out of San Francisco for Santa Clara or somewhere else in California. Kind of sad, as a lot of NFL history has gone down in Candlestick Park.
No commentsFantasy Basketball- Hot Starts
Well, the NBA season is only about a week in, but a few players seem to be emerging. I thought it would be interesting to take a look at a few early surprises and see where they stand later this season.
No commentsToomer Done, McGahee Out Indefinately
Really tough news for NFL good guy Amane Toomer. It appears he is done for the season due to a partial ACL tear. Tim Carter figures to benefit from this, but isn’t really a hot pickup for fantasy owners.
Willis McGahee is out indefinately with broken ribs. Fantasy owners better jump on Anthony Thomas quick!
